What to do when training budgets have been cut 30/7/2010
Training budgets have been cut to the bone for too long now with the result that people feel undervalued and underappreciated. They are also feeling that their skills are atrophying and that they are at risk of plateauing with their career development.
It is essential therefore to make the most of the work-based learning that takes place every day and highlight and improve its quality and applied value. A couple of examples of how to do that include:-
1. ensure that all time spent on internal training and coaching is properly demonstrated,
2. improve the quality of all in-house training by making sure that all people with line-management responsibilities are good at giving constructive feedback,
I can provide practical help with how to achieve all of this. Please me on contact me on faw@westwood-associates.com
